Essence Natural Cover Moisturizer Testbericht (scroll down for English version)

 Background

Zum Start ein Testbericht über meine Erfahrungen mit dem natural cover moisturizer von der Marke essence.

Ich verwende das Produkt jetzt seit ca. 6 Wochen als Tagescreme unter dem Make-Up und bin bisher recht zufrieden damit. 

Ich habe die 50 ml Tube bei dm für etwas unter einem Euro gekauft. 

Als die Tube mir in die Hände fiel, war ich eigentlich auf der Suche nach einer der neuen BB-Cremes, die allerdings deutlich teurer waren und mich im Laden nicht überzeugt haben. Da der natural cover moisturizer so günstig war, habe ich mich kurzerhand entschieden ihn zu kaufen und zu testen (seien wir ehrlich: Es ist einfach so unglaublich verlockend, dass es auch für wenig Geld funktionieren könnte ;-))

Was, warum und womit

Der Hersteller wirbt damit, dass die Creme gegen Pickel und Mitesser wirkt und einen ebenmäßigen Teint verleiht, alles ölfrei, was mir sehr entgegen kam, da meine Haut im Moment vermehrt Unreinheiten aufweist.

Obwohl ich einen eher hellen Hautton habe, habe ich die Variante für mittel bis dunkle Haut gewählt, um eine höhere Deckkraft zu erzielen. 

Für diejenigen, die sich damit auskennen (ich zähle mich selbst nicht unbedingt dazu) die Inhaltsstoffe der Creme:

Meine Erfahrung

Ich denke, dass das keine schlechte Entscheidung war die Creme zu kaufen. Die Creme hat eine angenehme Konsistenz, nicht zu gelartig, nicht zu flüssig beim Auftragen. Die Tönung der Creme ist nicht so intensiv, wie sie auf den ersten Blick scheint. Mit der dunkleren Variante lassen sich Rötungen im Gesicht gut kaschieren. Meiner Meinung nach hat die Creme allerdings nicht viel mit einer Feuchtigkeitscreme zu tun. Das Frischegefühl im Gesicht, das ich typisch finde für Feuchtigkeitscremes, bleibt aus. Die Creme ist augenblicklich eingezogen, was ein Pluspunkt ist insofern als sie nicht fettet, aber als Feuchtigkeitscreme einfach nicht ausreicht. 

Einen positiven Effekt auf Unreinheiten konnte ich in den vergangenen Wochen ebenfalls nicht feststellen, allerdings hat es auch nichts verschlimmert ;-)

Fazit

Wer eine Make-up Grundlage sucht oder abundzu ganz ohne Make-up auskommen möchte, wird mit dem natural cover moisturizer von der Marke essence zufrieden sein. Nur die Creme und Puder zum Fixieren reichen bei leichten Rötungen und Unreinheiten aus, um das Erscheinungsbild zu verbessern. 

Als Feuchtigkeitspflege hat sie mich nicht überzeugt und auch nicht in der Wirkung gegen Pickel. Was ich nicht ausschließen möchte ist, dass sie zumindest keine neuen Pickel hervorruft, da die Creme wirklich keinen öligen oder fettigen Film hinterlässt und sich in den letzten Wochen mein Hautbild auch nicht verschlechtert hat.

Für den Preis ist die Leistung denke ich in Ordnung, auch wenn nicht alle Herstellerversprechen gehalten werden.

Ich hoffe ich konnte dem ein oder anderen die Kaufentscheidung erleichtern ;-)

Background:

My very first blog-entry! I would like to start with my experiences with the Natural Cover Moisturizer by Essence! 6 weeks ago I started to use the crème as a daily-creme-cover-foundation whatever (sorry :D) before putting my make-up on and so far I am quite confident.

I bought the crème at a grocery store for a bit less than a Euro. When I found the Moisturizer I was not looking for it but for one of the new BB-Cremes. But as those crèmes are far more expensive and did not convince me too much in the store, I decided to try the moisturizer first. (come on: we all hope to get what we want for less money than we wanted to spend ;-))

What, why and what’s within

The producer promises that the creme fights spots and blackheads and gives a flawless complexion, all oil-free! As my skin shows some spots at the moment I thought it was worth trying. Though I have a lighter skin colour, I have chosen to buy the darker version because I wanted to have a better effect of coverage.

For those of you that are interested in it (and able to read something out of it, which I am not) here is what’s inside:

My experience:

I think it was a good decision to buy the creme. I love its texture as it is not to liquid and easy to distribute. The colour of the creme is less intense on the skin than one might think at first when it comes out of the tube. With my darker version I can easily cover redness and smaller spots on my face but I would not call the creme moisturizing. It has not the typical feeling of a moisturizing creme and the skin absorbs it very quickly which is good as it really is not oily but bad if you want the moisturizing effect in first place.

I would not say either that the creme really has a positive effect on spots or blackheads. At least it did not get worse ;-) so compared to other products this is a plus!

Conclusion:

If you are looking for a make-up foundation that is not too heavy and overall coverage is not too important to you or you don’t want to wear make-up but powder I would recommend the natural cover moisturizer by essence to you.

Do not expect too much in case of moisturizing and fighting spots and blackheads! From my opinion the creme is worth its money though the producer does not keep all of his promises.
